By Aayan Mirza

The trailer season of the year has the gales of it taking the country entirely under its spell. Every another day there is some trailer of this long awaited film finally coming out, hammering the bells ringing for its soon to be made entry into the arena.

The most recent spell of it perhaps started with the song teaser of Ho Mann Jahan, after which came the teaser trailer of Humayn Saeed’s multi-starer Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, and now the latest of these entries have been made by the two, yet again, long awaited, star-cast laden mega productions, namely, Revenge of the Worthless, and Bin Roye.

Revenge of the Worthless:

Directed by Jamal Shah, who is also acting in the film along with other heavyweights like, Ayub Khoso, Firdaus Jamal, Mayra Khan (not to be confused with Mahira Khan), and the comeback making Shamyl Khan, the Action-Drama, Revenge of the Worthless will also mark the film return of the actress Noor Bukhari.

Set in the background of 2009 Swat insurgency and the follow-up Army offensive in the valley, Revenge of the Worthless is a Hunerkada production, with some logistical support also provided by Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).  The film is currently under its post-production stage, and is expected to release spring this year, somewhere in May 2015 to be exact.

Bin Roye:

And now, one of the highly awaited flicks of the year. Bin Roye released its trailer just yesterday and it has taken the film circles on the social media by quite some storm.

Directed by Shahzad Kashmiri and Momina Duraid, the film is Duraid’s home production and will be the first to release under the ‘Hum Films’ banner.

With an ever interesting mix of cast including, Humayun Saeed, Mahira Khan, Armeena Khan, Javaid Sheikh, Zeba Bakhtiar, Adeel Hussain, and the singer turned actor Junaid Khan, along with the screenplay factor by Farhat Ishtiaq, the film can definitely be put in the potential blockbuster list.

The film is said to be releasing on Eid-ul-Fitr this year.

  1. While i love how bright and colorful the trailer is, it tells us nothing about how it’s going to be any different a film than the stereotypical love stories dominating the screens.
