Meerab and Murtasim continue to win over viewers as Tere Bin approaches its 40th episode. Through their regular shenanigans, the two misfits do make for good viewership, especially if you factor in for Wahaj Ali’s iconic portrayal of Murtasim. However, the lack of communication is concerning.
Meerab and Murtasim may be good at multiple things. Meerab knows how to stand for her rights and is by no means a pushover; the kind of character we want to see more of in our stories. Murtasim is well Murtasim. But, both of them definitely fall apart when it comes to communication.
The couple throw jibes at each other, they flourish on contempt, and even come together for totally unexpected proclamations of love, but communication is not a strong forte.
Murtasim wants to be heard, and Meerab doesn’t want to listen. Both cut off each other, and most conversations drift from practical logic to contempt and point scoring.
Maybe Tere Bin’s storyline profits from the stubborn nature of the couple, but there are definitely a few differences they can address through simple, unfiltered communication. Here we look at a few things Meerab and Murtasim would be better off discussing:
Unearth Haya’s Conniving Nature
Haya has been the kabab main haddi that not only Meerab, but fans of Tere Bin are truly tired of. Everyone including Murtasim is aware of the feelings Haya has for him. But, our dear Murtasim is neither shutting his discourse with Haya nor addressing the elephant in room. Day after day Murtasim heads out with Haya, and unintentionally may even be using her as a way to make Meerab jealous. We feel both Murtasim and Meerab need to sit themselves down, and discuss what Haya is capable of. Two-way communication may be helpful guys.
Maryam and Anas’s Situation
Maryam seems to be head over heels in love with Malik Mukhtar’s son Malik Zubair disguised as Anas. Anas is out to avenge the public shame brought to his family by Murtasim and wants to go after his wife and ghar ki izzat.
Meerab is in accomplice in Maryam’s plan to elope, while Murtasim clearly objects to the idea. Murtasim goes to the address shared by Anas, only to find a ‘brothel’ in the location. Meerab visits the location sent to her by Anas and finds him at home with his mother.
Again, the couple start arguing, and Meerab puts her trust in a mere stranger over her husband. How long would it take for both Meerab and Murtasim to discuss this situation? Meerab could just show Murtasim a picture of Anas and he would decode the situation. But, what’s the fun in talking and communicating when you can fight and argue?
Understand Their Love for Each Other
It is clear by now that Murtasim loves Meerab and the latter is also gradually falling into the emotion. But, yet again, the couple defy all odds to keep this a secret. We see the proclamation of love by Murtasim during the 39th episode on Monday, but that too is during a fight.
Meerab and Murtasim have their flaws, but as a power couple they can find a way through it with effective communication. But God forbid should Meerab talk to Murtasim. In this cat and mouse race, communication and logic are the care losers.
