The idea behind upcoming Pakistani anthology short film Teri Meri Kahaniyan was disclosed a few weeks back, and the fact that it features the heartthrob of Pakistani drama industry Wahaj Ali and the Miss-Marvel star Mehwish Hayat has fans buzzing with excitement!
In an exclusive conversation with Geo Digital, producer Seemeen Naveed gave some insights on the film.
“Cinemagoers will see the work of Pakistan’s A-list filmmakers, including Nadeem Baig, Marina Khan, and Nabeel Qureshi, on a single screen,” she shared delightedly.
The producer referred to the movie as a “high budget” film since it has been shot at several locations in Karachi. While talking about the trio of directors, Naveed shed some light about why Teri Meri Kahaniyan is one of a kind.
“Although the trio has worked on different stories separately but to have them together is a whole new experience — I think that’s the uniqueness of Teri Meri Kahaniyan.”
Rise to Stardom: Wahaj Ali
There’s no denying that lady luck has been benevolent on Wahaj since he appeared in Geo Tv’s Tere Bin. If fan following is anything to go by, viewers are quite eagerly waiting to see him in his next big project after the recent mini-series – Jurm.
But what made the director to go with Wahaj? Was his casting based on his obvious popularity or for some other reason?
In reply to this the producer said: “Off-course, he is a great actor and considering his popularity it’s not the obvious reason but when we decided to work on the film, Wahaj was our first choice”.
Teri Meri Kahaniyan Promises to be a Treat for Cinemagoers
Cinemagoers this Eid will explore three different genres in one film. Although, not revealing the story producer Seemeen Naveed said: “You can enjoy three films on a single ticket – I think, it’s a treat for all”.
