Javed Sheikh. Who doesn’t know him? A tall debonair star who ruled the silver screen by giving out plenty of hits. He has been equally successful as an actor and director. His acting credits comprise of movies like Love Mein Ghum , Bhai Log, Mein Ek Din Laut Kay Aaaunga and even many international films like Om Shanti Om, Honour Killings etc. But now Javed Sheikh is all charged up. He absolutely loving the new breed of film-makers emerging from the TV industry and is also geared up for his next venture. Double Treat: Na Maloom Afraad Got Release Date And The Music is Out

Since the release of its first trailer, Na Maloom Afraad has been talk of the town and finally the wait is over for the impatient viewers as the film is going to hit cinemas on Eid ul Azha (first week of October), officially announced by the team in a press conference in Karachi.

The film is releasing with another much talked about Pakistani spy thriller Operation O21 staring Shaan Shahid and Amina Sheikh. Talking exclusively with Galaxy Lollywood Nabeel Qureshi, the director of the film, said that, “We want this eid should be all about Pakistani films as two Pakistani films are coming and people should support Pakistani cinema. Both films are big and of different genres”.

Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy is back in action after having announced the upcoming release of Pakistan’s first HD Urdu language animated feature film titled ‘3 Bahadur’. This time around the Karachi based production house SOC Films has launched a series of short documentaries titled ‘I Heart Karachi’, which chronicles the individuals who put their lives at risk in the line of duty for others.

The ‘I Heart Karachi’ documentary series consists of 5 short films highlighting the struggles of Karachiites who risk their lives every day to make the city a better place to live. The unique series celebrates the efforts of these individuals who work in some of the most violence-prone areas of Karachi yet actively respond to violent extremism through positive action. These individuals include Dr. Seemin Jamali, head of emergency at JPMC; Zafar Ahmed, firefighter; Shahid Anjum, crime reporter for Abb Takk News; Naseem Muneer (late), polio worker; and Abid Farooq, bomb disposal squad in-charge of the West zone.

“The System” was the first official release of the year 2014 and is probably one of the few Pakistani films that arrived on the date they publicized, without any postponement. The film came and the film conquered. Box-office numbers were amazing and the public had wholly accepted the new action hero ‘Sheraz Ghufoor’. Now it has been almost three months since the film’s release and we here at Galaxy Lollywood decided to talk to the hero himself. Momin Ali Munshi (Editor at Galaxy Lollywood) met up with the young star for a little interview. Here are excerpts from the conversation:-

The System recently released in Norway. How was the response?
Mashallah the response was very good. People loved it and the business has been amazing.

What about the the response you got when the film released in Pakistan? You satisfied with it?
Yes, the response was good. Specially the box office numbers were very encouraging. Moreover the feedback I have received personally via emails and messages as an actor has been amazing. I think this is the most important thing for an actor is that he has been accepted by the crowd.
