A few Skimpy clothed women dancing to the tunes of item songs. Loud gunshots. Plush mansions, and a hell lot of action…Oh! And how can I forget…loads and loads of ‘melo-drama’. That’s what we can expect from this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr release, Sultanat.

Sultanat is an upcoming Pakistani film directed by Syed Faisal Bukhari, who is widely acknowledged in the world behind camera in Pakistan as someone of a master cinematographer with awe-inspiring framing in his movies as his specialty. He has some fascinating soaps like Mehndi Wale Hath and Mil Ke Bhi Hum Na Mil Sake to his credit, plus he was the man behind the action blockbuster Bhai Log released in 2011.

Faraz Inam of Alpha Bravo Charlie writes debut Novel, movie in process

So you all know who Faraz Inam is, right? No? Okay, well there is no way you don’t know who Captain Faraz is then, yeah, that smart hunk from the all time hit TV series Alpha Bravo Charlie, the Alpha of the series. Every time you watch that series; and its prequel, Sunehrey Din, for that matter, it’s an experience, it just never bores you.

So the news from the house is that Faraz Inam, the actor behind the character of Captain Faraz, has now authored his debut novel, The Misunderstood Ally, published in 2013, and the book is receiving wide praises since then, so much so, that a Hollywood film adaptation is very much on the cards.

Iram Parveen of Josh announces ‘Dho Dala’; Mehwish Hayat plays ‘Pari’

Just a few weeks back Iram Parveen Bilal’s debut film Josh won the “Best Independent Film” award at the ARY Film Awards and now a new project from the same banner, Dho Dala – The Sin Washer, starring Mehwish Hayat, Adnan Shah Tipu and Salim Mairaj in leading roles, has been announced.

A short film in nature and a mystery/drama in genre, Dho Dala, as per its description on IMDB, is set “in the backdrop of a world where assassins disappear into blackholes, Dhona and Pari are launderettes who wash people’s ‘sins’ away by washing away crime scenes and evidence. All is status quo until an unsuspected spy tries to wake them to justice.”

What Makes ‘Na Maloom Afraad’ Talk of Town and a Potential Blockbuster

First theatrical trailer of ‘Na Maloom Afraad’ (NMA) is out and has become viral since its release. The trailer shows three ‘fellas’ who are saving their ‘love, lives and asses’ in the chaotic situations of troubled Karachi. The film is a comic take on the tumultuous law and order state in Pakistan and on the identities of commonly known unidentified people, ‘Namaloom afraad’ as originally coined by the media. The trailer promises the film to be highly entertaining and a blockbuster, and will definitely set new trends and standards for upcoming films.

The teaser,which gives the perfect amount of dose as to what one should expect from the film , is bound to create a few waves.
