Jhok Sarkar First Episode: 5 Reasons to Add the Drama to Your Watchlist

Jhok Sarkar

Starring Farhan Saeed and Hiba Bukhari, HUM TV’s new venture Jhok Sarkar is an action packed, romance oriented powerplay that primarily focuses on fight between good and evil.

The first episode marks a promising start to the show. Coupled with awe inspiring visuals, an emotionally charged storytelling, and stellar performances, Jhok Sarkar instantly connects with the audience. The plot is engaging, and the ensemble cast surely leaves an impact.

Without further ado, here are 5 reasons why you should watch this one:

1.      Jhok Sarkar has a Fast-Paced Plot

With the first episode in, the enemies are distinguished, and their power and influence has been established. The hero is ready for any obstacle in his path and is not going to surrender. With the groundwork laid well in the episode, we await the action now.

The first episode did not give us time to catch a break and set the premise of the drama well. The story follows the loves of oppressed people of Jhok Sial who are heavily influenced by the man named Peeral played by Asif Raza Mir and his son Meeral characterized by Usman Javed. The rich feudal lords have established greater supremacy and control over people of Jhok Sial, who live in fear and in a state of total submission.

In this desert area lives Sassi, played by Hiba Bukhari. The drama opens up with Sassi supporting her friend to run away from Jhok Sial to unite with the man she loves.

`On the other hand, we are introduced to the character of ASP Arsalan, who will soon be posted to Jhok Sial where he will challenge the status quo and will not surrender to the corrupt forces.

2.      The lead characters

The first-time on-screen pairing of Farhan Saeed and Hiba Bukhari has us excited. We last saw Farhan Saeed in Mere Humsafar where he won the hearts of the entire nation for his character of Hamza, a loving and loyal husband devoted to his wife. While Hiba Bukhari garnered love for playing two empowering characters in dramas Meray Humnasheen and Pehchaan.

Hiba Bukhari who is playing the role of the girl in the village, Sassi is a teacher by profession. Although we didn’t see much of her in the first episode, we are looking forward to see her character unwrap.

While ASP Arsalan, characterized by Farhan Saeed, is an honest man dedicated to his profession. Hailing from a lower-middle class family, he understands the value of self-respect in one’s life. The character is shown to be attentive and respectful towards his parents and sisters, depicting him as the perfect hero with no flaws.

3.      The Subplots are Interesting

Jhok Sarkar is an amalgamation of various plots well-knitted together, that are binding us to the drama and adding to the intrigue value.

Other than the lead characters, we are introduced to the character of Noori-Sassi’s best friend. The first episode ends with her getting caught after she attempts to run away with the person she likes. In the promo of the next episode, we are introduced to Peeral who shows his interest in her. Will she be forced to end up marrying Peeral by her father or would she find a way out?

We are also taken inside the household of Peeral where women are engrossed in the domestic politics that is weaved by hatred and envy.

Lastly, we are introduced to another character in the drama who is potentially interested in Arsalan. However, will Arsalan continue to pursue her after his posting in Jhok Sarkar? Will their relationship come to a halt because of Arsalan’s demanding career or the class difference between them? These subplots have successfully hooked the audience.

4.      The Clear Message

The drama’s key message has been well-established in the first episode; the fight between good and evil.

(While we appreciate maker’s efforts to tell tales that have a message attached to it, however, we do hope that the message is subliminally ingrained in story and the drama doesn’t become too preachy).

5.      The Serene Background in Jhok Sarkar

Director Saife Hassan is known for his choice of subliminal locations where his dramas are shot, case in point Ehd-e-wafa and Sang-e-Mar Mar. This time also the director has opted for a mesmerizing location of a desert where the village of Jhok Sial is located.

Written by Hashim Nadeem, directed by Saife Hassan and produced under the banner of Momina Duraid Productions, the cast of Jhok Sarkar includes, Farhan Saeed, Hiba Bukhari in the lead and a strong ensemble cast of Asif Raza Mir, Maham Shahid, Malik Raza, Saad Azhar, Asad Mumtaz Malik, Adeel Afzal, Mah-e-Noor Haider, Sajeer Uddin Khalifa, Saquib Sameer, Sakina Sammo, Ahsan Murad, Sikandar Nawaz, Hassan Niazi, Javed Iqbal, Sajjad Pal, Mazhar Suleman, Syed Muhammad Farooq Haider, Usman Javed, Sultan Haider, Haider Ali and others.

Maheer Confesses Love for Saad in Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha: What to Expect Next?

Maheer in Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha

Weeks after putting across one flat episode after another, Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha has shown some development in the storyline. It came as a surprising shock to not only Saad but also the audience when Maheer finally confessed her feelings in front of him. We have to give this to Hania Aamir for looking absolutely lovely as the shying, innocent girl who confesses her love for the first time. However, this seems to be just the beginning of a difficult period for Saad and Maheer together.

How is the story going to move further in Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha?

After Maheer’s much awaited confession, fans have started loving the new character development for Hania Aamir. After having cried on for weeks, it comes as a breathe of fresh air, having Maheer take a decisive stand and expresses how she feels. Twitter has flooded with appreciation for Maheer’s confession.

The memes about Areeb are however, heartbreaking. Poor guy has been left alone one again. However, it seems as if Areeb will have something bad up his sleeve after Maheer confessed her feelings for Saad. The promo showed Areeb declaring the cliched line that he would not let Maheer belong to anyone else if she couldn’t be his and considering the money and power he has, it seems, he’ll make life difficult for Saad as much as he can.

Also considering Areeb loved Maheer passionately, he’s going to be derisive when it comes to expressing his hatred. Areeb was shown to be filled with contempt against Maheer and this is now going to cost both Saad and Maheer their happiness. Maybe their happiness will be short lived or maybe Areeb will get saner and give up the idea of having Maheer for his own once and for all. Only time will tell us about the developments. For now we’re happy that the drama has had some significant development after being dead for ages.

The Reaction

Maheer’s foolish behavior in the previous episodes had been a downer for all the fans who continued to watch Mujhay Pyar Hua Tha over the weeks, despite a stale storyline. However, this fresh development has brought across some exciting reviews for the drama itself. Hania and Wahaj’s emotive pallet was praised by the audience largely because of the range of emotions expressed in this one episode.

As it seems, Saad, Maheer and Areeb, all three of them together have not expressed such conflicting emotions in the entire run of the play that they did in this week’s episode of Mujhay Pyar Hua Tha. Saad ranged from uncertainty to anxiety and finally relief while Maheer went from her indecisiveness to finally deciding and declaring her choice openly. Areeb went from a heartbroken but hopeful lover to one filled with derision and hatred for his beloved.

All this combined together hints at Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha finally picking up pace in the upcoming episodes. If this is the case, we think Mujhay Pyar Hua Tha might be able to get its lost audience back. However, we just have one plea to the makers. Don’t turn it into a cliched Indian TV soap where the lead characters themselves will have no idea about how to react and go about their future.

Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri: Saim and Zobia Remind Viewers of Raj and Simran from DDLJ

Saim and Zoobia in MGM

The recently aired episode of Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri was filled with several emotional and heartwarming scenes. The love story between Saim and Zobia — played by Khushhal Khan and Dananeer Mobeen — has progressed to a cheesy romance, despite the fact that Faiqa – Saim’s mother has tried super hard to separate the love birds.

Despite all these hurdles, our Jodi has graced the screen with a classic romance that reminds us of Raj and Simran from Bollywood’s iconic Dil Waalay Dhulaniya le Jain ge (DDLJ), and fans are smitten.

Galaxy Lollywood has highlighted some similarities between the two.

The Rooftop Meetups in Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri

The rooftop has been a popular spot for Saim and Zobia’s meetups from the beginning. Be it a fight scene or a serious confession moment, the couple has been there many times, but the recent episode brought them again together on the very spot despite all the pabandis – demonstrating that love can make its own way.

This very scene gave us full DDLJ vibes, as Raj and Simran also used to meet each other on the rooftop.

It was Rushna’s – Zobia’s sister – mehndi function and our heroine was dancing in a beautiful yellow ghagra with a gorgeous pair of Jhumkas, while Saim who wasn’t supposed to come to Zoobia’s place was staring at her from the corner of his roof, both see each other and exchange gestures, and then Zobia runs off to the rooftop to meet Saim — very much like Raj and Simran.

Here, Saim won over the audience, as he fulfilled his promise and helped Zobia wear bangles. The dialogues here radically improve the seem as Zobia responds to his gestures with child-like bickering: “Tumhain Choorian Pehnana Nahin Atin? Aese Pehnao Jese Bin Roye Main Humayoun Ne Mahira ko Pehnain thin”!

Saim Being Raj in MGM!

But like with Raj and Simran, any cute moments for Saim and Zobia always come at a cost.

In the very next scene, Zobia rings dinner for Saim, but he surprised and greeted her by lighting lanterns. He places his hands over Zoobia’s eye and reveals a beautiful sight!

Saim’s eyes light up while staring at Zobia – who was impressed by the surprise and looks at the sky.

While both our protagonists — who are very obviously in love — were lost in each other’s eyes and their conversation, Saim’s mother caught them and wiped out their cute moment by immediately calling Daniyal, Zobia’s brother-in-law!

Daniyal – who seemed all but waiting for an opportunity – comes over in minutes and takes Zobia with him, warning Saim to watch his steps or else.

Our heart broken hero, simply asks Daniyal to not be rude with Zobia as he insisted her to meet him.

However, the separation scene reminded us of the train station scene from DDLJ, when Raj was separated from Simran. Poor Simran couldn’t do much except ask her father to let her go with him and finally gets successful to be with the love of her life.

But here, Zobia’s controlling brother-in-law and Saim’s mother are relentlessly creating hurdles for both of them. The cute thing is after all of these circumstances like Raj and Simran, our love birds can’t stop themselves from being in love with each other.

We at Galaxy Lollywood are looking forward to seeing how Saim and Zobia will make their way to each other like Raj and Simran or is there a train scene coming in the climax?

Neem Starts on a High Note to Set Pace for Upcoming Episodes

Neem first episode

HUM TV’s new production Neem already had the viewer’s attention for several reasons, whether it was due to the return of Mawra Hocane after nearly a two-year hiatus, the second time pairing of Sabaat’s favourite on-screen pair of Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani, the serene backdrop, the stellar ensemble cast, the grand production, or engrossing script. You can choose your pick, but one thing is for certain that the drama created a well-deserved hype prior to its release.

With the first episode having aired last night, our take on it is here. Catch up on our review below:

Introduction to the Characters

Neem is an amalgamation of various characters, each of whom plays a significant role in developing the storyline further and have character arcs of their own.

The first episode did a decent job in introducing us to the characters of the drama.

The Protagonist vs the Antagonist

We begin with the central character of the show, Mawra Hocane is essaying the role of Zimal. She is shown to be highly passionate about transforming the society for better and intentionally strives hard to make a difference. The Kashmiri born orphan girl, is raised by an influential and affluent man in Kashmir. The plot begins with her returning to her hometown after completing her master’s in education.

Her sympathetic and charitable nature doesn’t go unnoticed by the viewers, with the frequent mention of her qualities and her act of giving away most of her money to workers sitting on the footpath. Undoubtedly, we do see a reflection of Mawra’s another character Anaya of Sabaat in the drama. Mawra’s outfit choice and styling resembles Anaya’s alongside their hardcore characteristic of standing against social injustice.

Following that, we are introduced to Jibraan’s character, Karamat in the drama who is shown to be misogynist, stereotypical, and ruthless antagonist. Hailing from a wealthy background, the character has the survival’s mindset of ‘kill or be killed’. Karamat is the son of the man who raised Zimal.

Their conflicting and opposing mindsets have been vividly established in the viewer’s mind and it would be interesting to see their face off as drama progresses.

Mawra’s love interest(s) in the drama:

Ameer Gilani also makes an appearance on-screen. The actor has a new look for this role-a light beard in comparison to his stubble in previous looks. His character is shown to be in love with Mawra, but obstacles await his one-sided love due to the difference in social class between the two. His character is shown to have a distinct quality of stuttering.

Lastly, Arsalan Naseer is also part of the cast of the drama, who is playing Zimal’s fiancé. Although we didn’t see much of him in the first episode, one thing that has been established is his interest in Mawra.

Two characters in love with one girl with an antagonist who has bad intentions for the central character-who will Zimal end up? This remains to be seen.

All the characters have played a convincing role in the drama which has made their characters believable and intriguing.

The Plot for Neem

Emphasis on education:

Neem opens with the character of Manzar Sehbai who is teaching his students about the significance of the role of a teacher in an individual’s life. The first episode went full circle by emphasizing on the importance of education in different aspects. The drama will continue to emphasize on this societal issue.

The Preachy Quotient:

The drama does have a significant preachy and moralistic element attached to it, but we do hope it mellows down in further episodes and is translated to actions.

The Romantic angle in Neem:

Neem will engage the audience with love stories enveloped in multiple layers and plots. While we are rooting for Mawra and Ameer’s story to progress, we do await to see how Mawra’s chemistry will unravel with other actors also.

The Audience’s Reaction to Neem:

The audience praised the drama makers and the actors.

Twitter was flooded with comments as they applauded the actors. Mawra Hocane thanked the audience post her drama release.

The audience was all praises for Ameer Gilani’s acting skills:

Fans are once again adoring Mawra and Ameer’s on-screen chemistry.

People also showered their love on the drama and actors via YouTube comments:

Neem is penned by Kashif Anwar and produced by Momina Duraid. The drama is helmed by Parizaad director Shahzad Kashmiri. The ensemble cast of the drama features Syed Jibran, Mawra Hocane, Arsalan Naseer, Ameer Gilani, Rahil Siddiqui, Hassan Shah, Hani Taha, Maryam Nafees, Shamyl Khan, Adeel Khan, Ismat Zaidi, Alamdar Khan, Areeba Tirmizi, Tahira Shahzad, Yousuf Bashir Qureshi and others.

Javed Sheikh: A Rupee for Bollywood, But What About Lollywood?

Javed Sheikh in Interview

In a recent turn of events that has left many fans baffled and disappointed, Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh revealed that he demanded a measly Rs 1 to play Shah Rukh Khan’s father in the 2007 Bollywood blockbuster, ‘Om Shanti Om’. One can’t help but wonder if Sheikh would have been so generous with his asking price had it been a Pakistani film.

What Happened and Why Did Javed Sheikh Demand Rs 1?

Sheikh shared this interesting anecdote during a recent interview, stating that it was a matter of honor for him to be chosen by SRK and director Farah Khan for the role. He even went on to say that when the manager insisted on mentioning a fee for the contract, he decided to charge Rs 1 for the film. Surprisingly, it was the film’s team who decided on Sheikh’s actual remuneration, leaving him shocked by the amount on his first paycheck.

While Sheikh’s story might have been intended to highlight his sense of pride in working with the Bollywood bigwigs, it has instead sparked outrage among Pakistani internet users. One user wrote, “This is what you call not having any self-respect. The man didn’t even charge any fee for his job,” while another added, “Dunno why they put Indian actors on such a pedestal.”

Questions Raised on Javed Sheikh’s Loyalty

It’s true that Sheikh’s decision to practically work for free in an Indian film raises questions about his priorities and loyalty to the Pakistani film industry. Would he be so willing to lower his worth for a Lollywood production? Or is it just the allure of Bollywood that had our senior actor lowering his worth for a chance to rub shoulders with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan?

As ‘Om Shanti Om’ raked in a whopping Rs 78 crore at the domestic box office, it’s clear that Sheikh’s Rs 1 demand didn’t hurt the film’s success. But what does this say about the value he places on his own talent and contribution to the film industry? And more importantly, how does this reflect on the Pakistani film industry as a whole?

Conclusion

In a time when our local film industry is striving to make a name for itself, it’s disheartening to see celebrated actors like Javed Sheikh seemingly devalue their worth for a chance to join the glitz and glamour of Bollywood. Let’s hope that this incident serves as a wake-up call for our actors to recognize their worth and prioritize their own industry over foreign fame.

Greatest Pakistani dramas OST

Pakistani dramas are known for their euphonious and soulful Original Soundtracks that, in most cases, have always been an upside to a drama. They add to the audience’s excitement. Khaani

Composed by Sahir Ali Bagga and sung by maestro Qawali singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, the song is a rendition of pain and heartbreak. The lyrics highlight the suffering and agony caused by love. This addition to blues genre to the list of Pakistani OST certainly created a hype which is evident till date. The song was composed by Waqar Ali and sung by Qurut-ul-Ain-Balouch in her soulful voice. The song was initially a poem which was written by Naseer Turabi to express his sorrow after the fall of Dhaka in 1971.

Ehd-e-Wafa

We couldn’t pick between the two OSTs of Ehd-e-Wafa, so we decided to include both. The first title song of “Dil Ka Dil Se Hua Hai Ehd-E-Wafa” was sung by a versatile group of singers including Ali Zafar, Sahir Ali Bagga, Asim Azhar, and Aima Baig. The song has an upbeat tune and lyrics that make you feel alive and sing along with it.

The repeated phrase in the song “yaad bhi hai aik sahara sa” (Memory is also a kind of support) touches your heart and makes you take a trip down memory lane.

Khuda Aur Muhabbat

While all the singers have done justice to the soundtrack in all the seasons of Khuda Aur Muhabbat, our favourite remains the original soundtrack which was sung by Ahmed Jahanzeb and penned by Javeria Saud. The song construes peace and tranquility straight to the heart of the listener. The lyrics are meaningful and make you ponder.

Bin Roye

The Original Soundtrack of Bin Roye has many layers to it, just like the drama it has been produced for. It was sung by the renowned singer Shiraz Uppal in his melodious voice and penned by Shakeel Sohail. The song is perfect to listen to when you want to unwind due to the gentle and harmonious tune.

Meray Paas Tum Ho

The soundtrack of the iconic drama of 2020 has been penned by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, who also wrote the script. The song is a classic piece of art by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The slow melody highlights the pain and agony of an individual who has had his heartbroken. The lyricist is addressing the person who caused the heartbreak. Do Bol

The infamous phrase ‘ja tujhe maaf kiya’ (go, I forgive you) stems from the soundtrack of the drama Do Bol that garnered appreciation by millions of viewers. Mann Mayal

Another song by Qurat-ul-Ain Baloch that deserves a mention on our list. The song has been co-sung by Shuja Haider as well. It is an amalgamation of various elements including drama, serenity, heartbreak, and love.

This brings us to the end of our list on greatest drama OSTs. Which one was your favourite? Do share with us!

Bandish 2 Fails to Impress, As Fans Yearn for Previous Season

Bandish season 1 and 2

The trailer for Bandish 2 piqued the audience’s interest with its enticing possession scenes, spooking vibes and glimpses of Amna Ilyas’s terrific acting, but six episodes into the serial, fans are still waiting to find any real horror that the makers promised in the trailer.

Here’s Galaxy Lollywood’s take on the show so far.

The ‘Horrors’ of Rishta Meetings in Bandish 2

The recently aired episode truly bummed out the audience. Farhana — played by Zainab Qayyum — is going all evil and following the instructions of Alim Sahab to destroy her sister-in-law Sumera’s family.  So, her relationship with the alim made viewers believe that something unusual or spooky was definitely on the cards — especially after the graveyard scene; the only horror we saw was the endless rishta meetings — hardly what the show promised.

Nothing happened in Sumera’s – played by Sania Saeed — house. When Farhana placed the handi (pot) in the graveyard, she herself felt unwell for a night and saw her late husband in a dream, who instructed her to not tell anyone that she can bring him back into this world again.

It just doesn’t make sense! Why would he show up in Farhana’s dream right after she cast a spell on someone else? and WHY didn’t her husband stop her from fulfilling her evil desires?

Hopefully, someone will shed light on this mystery soon.

The Door and the Doll

Way back, in the first episode, when Sumera entered the house, the episode hinted that she knew something. There was a door beside the lounge that she stared at for a few minutes, looking very unsettled.

Then during a Quran Khuwani scene, Vaniya too appeared scared by the same door. But someone needs to tell us what’s behind the door and why all of them are sensing trouble from this very spot!

Currently, the family is in a delirious state. Everyone is seeing strange happenings especially, Minahil and Vaniya, both nand and bhabhi have had this experience but failed to understand what’s going on.

There can be many scary activities against this backdrop of events, and even the doll could have done so much following the black magic spell, but so far, the story is more of a family drama than a thrilling horror.

We can only hope that the magic will take effect soon and we will get chills that we were promised!

Fans are Missing Bandish 1 After Seeing Bandish 2

Judging by the YouTube comments, Galaxy Lollywood isn’t the only one who feels this way. Viewers can’t help but compare this season with the previous one.

There is no doubt that Bandish season 1 hooked the audience from the get-go because of the spooky activities around the house.

The witch Sumbul – played by Farah Shah – was enough to feel the horror because whenever she cast the spell over the family something happened to them.

The audience still remembers how her curse worked to break Junaid’s — played by Sajid Hasan — family. The previous storyline was blended with family issues, tragedies and love stories but black magic was the crux of the show. It certainly didn’t have the back-to-back marriage proposals we are seeing in season 2.

We would just like to remind the makers that while a good slow burner can keep audiences hooked for months — even years — a poorly executed slow burner can just fizzle out!

Teri Meri Kahaniyaan’s Trailer Raises Expectations for Eid Release

Teri Meri Kahaniyaan Cast

Promising a magnificent cinematic experience and three tales that seem equally good for different reasons-Pakistan’s first ever anthology film Teri Meri Kahaniyaan is all set to release this Eid-ul-Adha. The film will narrate three separate stories of distinct genres, each helmed and written by a different director and writer respectively.

Teri Meri Kahaniyaan is A Venture of SeePrime

Teri Meri Kahaniyaan is a venture of SeePrime who are making their debut from digital content to silver screen with this film. As mentioned by Hira and Mani, in a promotional clip on SeePrime’s Instagram, one of the plots of the film was supposed to be released as a short film but was later turned into a cinema film.

Promising Teaser for Teri Meri Kahaniyaan

The teaser of the film not only seems promising, but the rendition seems one that will raise the bar for Pakistani cinema, making it one-of-a-kind experience.

The teaser begins with a melodious tune in the background, with changing frames, as we are familiarized to all the protagonists in the three stories. Cut to, we are introduced to the first story in the film that ventures into comedy-horror.  The plot follows the story of a distressed family in hiding.

Hira and Mani in a Horror Story

We see a couple running away with their child, hiding in eerie and creepy locations, played by Hira Mani and Mani who will be appearing for the first time together on the big screen. There is evident fear, paranormal activities and supernatural entities lurking around that will give you goosebumps. The story is penned by Basit Naqvi and Ali Abbas Naqi, who rose to fame for their work in Laal Kabootar, and is directed by Nabeel Qureshi who has done a brilliant job with his foray into realm of horror.

Sheheryar Munawar and Ramsha Khan in a Romantic Comedy

While the second narrative of the film starring Sheheryar Munawar and Ramsha Khan, on the surface seems like a romantic comedy, there are many layers and messages that are at first hidden to the eyes. This one seems like a complete package-there is humor, dance, and an element of mystery and intrigue.

We are introduced to the characters of Sheheryar Munawar and Ramsha Khan who are getting married in eight hours. Chaos and confusion reigns in this household with everyone preoccupied to solve their own problems.

We also see a scene where the character of Ramsha Khan is running from her house before her wedding. The trailer leaves us with a dozen questions- is Sheheryar facilitating Ramsha’s escape? Are they in love or are getting married due to pressure? Is Ramsha running away to pursue her dreams or is there an ulterior motive? Well, we will have to wait for the movie to be released to find out. This part of the film is directed by Marina Khan and is written by Vasay Chaudhry.

Wahaj Ali and Mehwish Hayat in a Timeless Romantic

The third and the final plot of the film has successfully built up our anticipation where we are hoping for a jaw-dropping story. The scene opens with Mehwish Hayat, dressed in a sari, reading ‘Forty Rules of Love’ by Elif Shafak and the character of Wahaj Ali having his gaze fixated at her. Wahaj’s character is shown to be a painter in the film, who completely leaves Mehwish’s character smitten with his sketch of hers.

Mehwish opens up to him, confessing that she is married. Now will the tale of these two strangers end with the train journey or has fate something else planned for them?

We also see a shot of Zahid Ahmed and Amna Ilyas in the film where they don’t exchange any dialogues, leaving us wondering about their characters. This part of the film is written by the writer-director duo of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and Nadeem Baig.

Needless to say, Teri Meri Kahaniyaan promises something for everyone due to its diverse set of genres. Each part of the film has a different ambiance and mood, that is somehow differentiating all of them and yet aligning the three plots. We are highly anticipating the release of the film this Eid-ul-Adha.

Why Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha is Fast Becoming Irrelevant

Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha Cast

Garnering millions of views every week, ARY Digital’s Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha has been able to top the charts when it comes to ratings. The drama features Hania Aamir as Maheer and Wahaj Ali as Saad alongside an ensemble cast of talented actors.

The story unfolded as a triangle love story and right after the big bang-when Maheer and Saad are forced into marriage due to circumstances- the show turns into a never-ending fiasco. The viewers tune in every week, hoping to see light at the end of the tunnel, where Saad would find solace after a never-ending wait and finally end up confessing his feelings to Maheer and Maheer would accept Saad as her husband.

However, presently the drama is showing no signs of heading towards a conclusion. We have put the pain of audience in words, highlighting why the drama is losing its charm.

Dragged Storyline for Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha

The drama is unfolding with one bizarre twist at a time. Subtract the saving grace of the last episode where Maheer defends and sides with Saad, the rest of the drama has been a total chaos. All this drama has done is switched gender, and instead of showing a destitute girl who is enduring every kind of pain silently, we have the character of Saad.

As if this wasn’t enough that Maheer is rejecting Saad left right centre, but now the plot has unraveled with Saad’s father passing away and him finding about his father’s loan from the bank. Sigh. We wonder when Saad’s and viewers misery will end.

Maheer being stubborn and the forever bichari:

The character has several shades that unfold with time but unfortunately all fall under the umbrella of adding to the nuisance of the audience. The character of Maheer is presently testing the viewers patience for her selfish acts at times alongside her being way too stubborn. The last straw for the viewers was when she conveniently went with Anabia after Saad’s father passed away instead of being there to support him, if not his wife then as his cousin and friend.

Saad’s never-ending patience in Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha

Saad’s relentless efforts to make Maheer happy and putting her above everyone else has been a constant theme of the drama. The never-ending patience Saad has shown towards Maheer and his ability to look away from all her mistakes whether it is meeting with Areeb or her leaving him after her father’s funeral. At this point, we don’t know whether it is actually Saad’s innocence or instead his stupidity disguised under his charming act, for we don’t know a single human being as patient as him.

We hope the drama now heads towards a conclusion and gives the audience a much-needed closure. Presently, it is safe to say that Wahaj Ali is the saving grace of Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha and is single-handedly saving the plot with his refined acting skills and undeniable charm.
